Wonderful hosts, great food and drink
Quality food, warm authentic atmosphere, live music
This is by far one of the best places in Hobart when it comes to entertainment, quality food and atmosphere. Lots of variations in events, wholesome real people, and friendly staff make this icing on the cake after a quality meal with family, friends or mates
Fab food and great entertainment
Spectacular food
A changing menu that seems to just keep getting better and a focus on personal service.
Sensational mushroom risotto for lunch
We stayed just down the road at Macquarie Manor and thoroughly enjoyed a lunch of local mushroom risotto and vegetable special with local dark beers (there’s a great selection of beers too). The risotto was generous, tasty and fantastic for $15. The friendly helpful service and a chat with the owner made this meal truly exceptional. Pleased to be able to say this is better than most popular international places we’ve been to. Overall a most memorable experience - highly recommended!
Great, cosy pub food
For entrée I had the bread with a trio of dips. All of the dips were clearly home made and delicious, a great start to the meal. For mains I had the lamb shank with mash and sprouts. The lamb was juicy, the mash creamy and the sprouts were a nice compliment to the meal. Great service, food was delivered in good time and I was provided a very personal experience. Would highly recommend; the best meal I've had in Hobart.
