13 Bligh Place, off Flinders Lane,Melbourne City VIC
Middle Eastern flavour meets Melbourne laneway chic at Souk on Bligh Place. Upon entering, diners are transported into an Arabian experience, with neon colours and wall art depicting the style of this restaurant and bar. The concept of writing backwards is embraced in Souk’s logo and décor, with mirrors and reflections offering a glimpse of Arabic style in an interior divided into two levels - a bar downstairs and dining space upstairs. Guests may peruse a menu full of small and medium plates to share and salivate over crispy calamari with a zesty zhoug dressing topped with pomegranate and shallot salad, or try the lamb meatballs and fennel labneh. Then delve into Moroccan seafood cooked in spicy tomato and capsicum sauce, topped with crispy rice pastry and served with herb salad and lime.
Smokey grilled quail, served with fragrant parsley and freeka salad, salted grapes, smoked almonds and a rose scented grape and quince molasses glaze.
