535 Crown St,Surry Hills NSW
Bringing Middle Eastern flavours to the trendy food precinct of Surry Hills, SaltVine on Crown Street takes tapas fare to a whole new level. Set on a cosy corner storefront, spicy aromas waft in the air of this vibrant restaurant, where mosaic tiles, mirrored walls, booth seating and bronzed pendent lighting sets the tone for an authentic dining experience. Choose from a shared plates menu of mezze options, such as lamb Kibbeh – spiced minced lamb, pine nuts, crushed wheat, saffron labneh, radish and coriander. Comfort dishes include chargrilled eggplant with roast peppers, pistachio, cumin and pickled cucumber, or perhaps opt for the grilled scotch fillet with merguez spices and carrot puree washed down with a Mexican Almaza in a salt rimmed chilled glass with a shot of lemon juice.
Syrian String Cheese Cigar: crisp pastry, string cheese, Nigella seeds, coriander and tomato harissa.
