A fusion of South American cuisine, music and folklore awaits Adelaide diners at Cumbia Bar & Kitchen on Grote Street. Located next to the Central Market, this rustic eatery welcomes guests through a well-worn brick archway to a trendy fit-out of high stools, pendent globes, mosaic tiles and natural light streaming through the glass frontage. On balmy days dine alfresco and people watch while enjoying dishes such as a Latin American big breakfast of free-range fried eggs, bacon, beans, mushroom, avocado, grilled tomato and corn bread. Those dining later can delve into tender pork belly ceviche, tossed in fresh citrus juice, with hand-cut sweet potato crispy chips; or grilled Peruvian chicken leg fillet, salsa verde, potatoes, sour cream and lime – best paired with a Pisco sour cocktail.
