It’s Been a Wild Ride – Ben Shewry and Attica Are Back!

For eight months Ben Shewry and the Attica crew have been riding the COVID wave – madly pivoting from the fine dining Melbourne restaurant that was once ranked 21 in the world, to offering takeaway and delivery.

Ben has never given up, even delivering Attica at Home in his own car in the early days of the pandemic – now comes the announcement that all Australian foodies have been waiting for.

Attica on Glen Eira Road in Ripponlea will re-open for dining in from Tuesday, December 1 in a limited capacity.

"Wow, what a difference 24 hours makes!” Ben says. "We were really surprised by the great news from the Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews on Sunday that restrictions have eased further. This now allows us to re-open Attica with limited capacity.

"It has been eight months since we have been able to have a normal restaurant service and we are beyond excited to welcome guests back to our beloved restaurant, with a brand-new menu.”

Ben is pressing pause on his Attica at Home offering to focus on the restaurant’s re-opening; the takeaway menu will run for the rest of this week, so if you have a favourite dish that you are going to miss, order it now.

"We are so grateful to everyone who has supported Attica at Home and if this is something you would like to see again in the future, please let us know.”

The Attica dining room will be open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday – tables need to be paid for upon booking, click here for details, terms and conditions.

"It’s been a wild ride and we’ve learned a lot and we can’t wait to share it with you. Never give up,” Ben says.

Attica is also packing its bags for Summer Camp in the Yarra Valley, running for five months from December. For more information, click here.
