Cocktail of the Week from Soko Rooftop.

Technically, it’s not drinking alone if the bartender is there!

You know the drill…it’s Friday afternoon and time to relax after a long and stressful work week.

What better way to chill out than with a cocktail at your favourite bar or restaurant? Alternatively, you could take the party home and concoct the perfect drink to usher in the weekend.

Welcome to our Cocktail of the Week series, where each Friday we will highlight a cheeky creation to tantalise tastebuds and set the tone for good times.

Cocktail of the Week from Soko Rooftop.

Expect the unexpected at Brisbane’s hot new dining and drinking venue, Soko Rooftop on Pauls Terrace in Fortitude Valley. Descending from Amazonian influence, Soko delivers a decadent rooftop experience, bringing a sophisticated and exotic vibe filled with drama and elevated style – welcome to the jungle, where a lush land of culinary wonders awaits you.

A Peruvian-Japanese menu is perfectly complemented by a wine, sake and cocktail list specially curated to bring out the unique flavours of each dish; such as this Akuma Jungle concoction, using Bombay Sapphire gin, passionfruit purée, pineapple, lychee, cucumber and chilli.

Cocktail of the Week from Soko Rooftop.

The idea behind this cocktail was to create a tropical-spicy flavour to represent Soko’s rainforest Peruvian/Japanese-themed rooftop – and it more than delivers!

Pair this with small plates from the menu, such as hand-dived scallops, shaved Parmesan, garlic, butter and spices; or crispy pork belly bites, teriyaki sauce, shredded carrot, cucumber and shisho soy mint.
