Fresh Figs with Gorgonzola & Balsamic Jelly


4 ripe Figs
100g Gorgonzola cheese
1 tablespoon Farmgate Cheese Balsamic Jelly
80g walnuts
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil


Cut figs into quarters (criss-cross but not all the way to the bottom)

Then, using your thumbs and forefingers, squeeze the base of the fig to expose the inside. Place onto a dish and crumble over gorgonzola.

Roughly chop walnuts and sprinkle over the figs and cheese. Using a teaspoon, place small dollops of balsamic jelly in and around the figs.

To finish, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and freshly cracked pepper. Serve with grilled toasts.

**For a delicious alternative to blue cheese, replace the Gorgonzola with fresh goat’s cheese.
