Just off the highway on the Sydney side of Orange is the award-winning Highland Heritage Estate. A restaurant, winery and function centre combined, Highland is the ideal venue for a leisurely weekend lunch, or a picturesque wedding among the estate’s neat rows of grapevines. Housed in a converted railway carriage, sample Highland’s range of Rieslings at the cellar door before taking to lunch in the restaurant, where vineyard views combined with timber beams made from recycled bridge pylons, create an idyllic setting infused with a reminiscent nod from the past. The restaurant menu is seasonal and diners can anticipate dishes such as sous vide salmon with preserved lemon and dill marinade, warm kipfler potato, green bean and heirloom tomato salad; followed by triple chocolate semifreddo.

You can enjoy the fresh air and view on our large balcony or relax in comfort in our sitting room by the fire and enjoy that pre-dinner drink or private dining experience.
Highland Heritage Estate has recently won several coveted awards from the Restaurant and Catering Association for the Blue Mountains and Central West District, winning the major award, Caterer of the Year, Best Wedding Caterer in a Function Centre and Best Function Centre Caterer. Highland Heritage Estate has also won Best Restaurant in a winery in Australia, 2005.
Highland Heritage Estate also specialises in weddings and special functions such as birthday celebrations, large or small, as well as anniversaries, wakes, high tea, conferences and Christmas celebrations. The a la carte menu offers modern Australian cuisine that changes seasonally. A lighter lunch option is available Wednesday & Thursdays from 11am-3pm. Our High Tea (available Wed-Sun 11am-3pm) is a very popular choice for that special treat such as hens days, baby showers, birthdays and celebrations. Please note High Tea bookings are essential on weekends.
