Tantalise taste buds at Orange's newest dining destination, Whitney’s Restaurant & Bar on Forest Road. Nestled in The Remington hotel, this expansive venue exudes an elegant vibe of plush purple velvet chairs to relax in with a cocktail of choice; while the dining area features bright yellow, aqua and lime green chairs, moody lighting and splashes of greenery. Presenting Modern Australian cuisine carefully crafted by highly-skilled Chefs, start with Wagyu beef tataki, puffed rice, matchstick pear, snow peas and housemade ponzu sauce. For a mesmerizing main, delve into crispy skin salmon, labneh, baby roasted carrots, pickled zucchini, prawn and potato cake, pistachio dukkah, pomegranate and herb oil; finish with Nan’s lemon tart, candy floss, salted caramel ice cream and praline.

The food was amazing, fine dining at good prices and the most tasteful and well presented dining we've ever had.


What a fabulous fine dining addition to the Orange region
I attended with 3 of my friends and what a great night we had! After taking a look at the menu, my friends and I decided if we are here; we may as well try out 3 courses that they offer because the menu options were all too good to pass and it gave me the opportunity to taste all of my friends dishes. The portion sizes were generous and the food was absolutely amazing. The food arrived at a good pace; the chef allowed enough time to enjoy the meal and finish it with out rushing but didn't leave it too long between meals that you're waiting around wondering if they had missed your next dish. The staff were very welcoming and so friendly and it was just an all round great atmosphere and experience. It was an amazing fine dining experience and its a great addition to the Orange region. I cant wait to return again soon. Well done Chef and Staff, you have opened an amazing restaurant that can be enjoyed by friends, families, and individualsxx


Really Terrific
We found ourselves in Orange on New Years Eve by accident. Looking for some place that would have a table last minute we chanced upon Whitney’s Restaurant. Lucky for us, Whitney’s was still in its “soft opening” stage with its official opening not happening until 4th January.

What fabulous luck for us. While the restaurant is very new, Tyrone Hunt’s menu is mature, thoughtful and delightfully surprising.

The smoked-hay spatchcock is subtle, but it pairs beautifully with the polenta cake and roasted vegetables. My partner loved the prawn and potato cake that teamed with her crispy skin salmon.

These main courses were so good that we were tempted to revisit the entrees.

The desert choices were equally good, the deconstructed Snickers bar an absolute delight.

Next time I’ll have to return with more of an appetite and taste an entree or two. Mind you, next time I’m sure it’ll be harder to get a table. I’m sure it’ll be full as soon as people get to experience it for themselves.
