King Clarence Next in Line of Succession

When a headlining award-winning hospitality group such as Bentley Restaurant Group announces opening a new restaurant, you pay attention!

The brand behind not one, but an astounding four Chef-hatted restaurants (Bentley Restaurant + Bar, Yellow, Cirrus and Monopole) is doing it again with King Clarence, the next in line for the group. The contemporary Asian restaurant will be coming to Sydney’s CBD this October and that’s not even mentioning the last restaurant the Bentley group opened a few months back in March, Brasserie 1930.

The cuisines of China, Korea, and Japan will influence King Clarence’s menu, featuring dishes cooked over a custom-built BBQ and grill and there will also be a large live seafood tank within the restaurant.

Co-owner and Chef Brent Savage says: "Nick and I love eating Asian food and are looking forward to applying the Bentley Group ideas and philosophies to this style of food. We want King Clarence to be fun, loud, and busy.”

King Clarence’s extensive wine program, as is expected of Bentley Restaurant Group venues, will balance innovative and classic wines and showcase 40 wines by the glass. Global in its approach, the list will feature undiscovered winemakers and varietals suited to Asian cuisine and special bottles from the Bentley Wine Vault. There will also be a tightly curated cocktail list with twists on some classic Asian-inspired cocktails.

King Clarence gets its name from its prime position within Sydney’s CBD, located on the corner of King Street and Clarence street. Stay tuned for more sneak peaks as the opening dates get closer.
