Muggle-born or not, there’s something universally magical about cracking open a Kinder Joy. The creamy chocolate, the crunchy wafer balls, and, of course, the tiny surprise hiding inside - it’s a ritual that hits the nostalgia button harder than a Bludger in a Quidditch final.
Now, the brand is levelling up its wizardry with a limited-edition collab that’s bound to send Potterheads straight to Platform 9 3/4: the Kinder Joy x Funko Harry Potter Quidditch collection.

In case you’ve been living under a rock (or haven’t quite cracked out of your shell), collectibles are having a cultural moment. From Squishmallows and Labubus to Funko Pops and blind-box unboxings, the thrill of the ‘big reveal’ has taken over TikTok and Instagram feeds faster than you can say Alohomora.
When you combine that Gen Z obsession with the millennial fondness for Harry’s adventures at Hogwarts, you’ve got yourself a treat worth chasing like the Golden Snitch.

Landing on shelves in Aussie supermarkets this September, the new Kinder Joy range is dishing out more than its signature choc-and-wafer duo. Each egg also hides one of 18 Quidditch-themed figurines and accessories, from Hermione and Ron in Gryffindor colours to rival Seekers Draco Malfoy and Cedric Diggory.
There’s even a rare Golden Harry Potter figurine, practically guaranteed to send collectors into a frenzy faster than a Firebolt on match day.
It’s not just the characters. The collection also features Quidditch must-haves like Madam Hooch’s whistle and the Quaffle, letting fans stage their own matches on the kitchen table (broomsticks and goal hoops not included).

Whether you’re chasing rare finds like a dedicated Seeker or just cracking open eggs for the choccy hit, there’s no denying the appeal. After all, Kinder Joy has always been about more than the snack - it’s the thrill of discovery, the suspense of the unwrapping and now, a chance to pocket a piece of Molly Weasley magic.
Kinder Joy x Harry Potter Quidditch eggs are available now at Coles and other leading retailers around Australia (RRP $3.30). Consider this your official Accio to the lolly aisle.
