A whopping 52% of Aussies believe in astrology with more than a quarter so certain of the stars, they are prepared to pin their travel habits on them!
Last month, Skyscanner and OnePoll asked a sample of 2000 Australians whether their star sign determined how they travel and the results are intriguing.
"We all want our travel experience to be as fun and relaxing as possible, so looking to star signs to help us plan can be a huge help,” according to Skyscanner Travel Expert Jarrod Kris.
"For example, a fun-loving Leo would make a great travel companion for an easy-going Libra, but might be too outgoing for a more relaxed and grounded Taurus traveller.”
Star signs can also help when it comes to money-saving techniques to bag a holiday bargain:
Go with the flow and be flexible:
Pisces and Sagittarius are happy to take things as they come and find their groove along the way. They can consider travelling a day before, or a day after their original departure dates, or fly on less popular days of the week to get a cheaper flight.
Be prepared and price smart:
With a need to be informed and prepared, Taurus and Virgo can benefit from setting up price alerts to be the first to know when prices drop or additional benefits apply.
Get away from the status quo and take the Red Eye:
Capricorn and Scorpio aren’t afraid of doing things differently in the name of a new and exciting experience. They are prepared to take a Red-eye flight which are often less desirable, less crowded and less expensive – they are more likely to nab a deal and stretch out across empty seats!

Aries are lovers of a ‘tried and tested’ recommendation and more likely to use social media along with word of mouth to book travel destinations and activities.
Taurus are least likely to ‘go with the flow’ and also one of the most likely to love you and leave you shortly after touching down on home soil; travelling with another like-minded Earth sign or solo is best suited to a Taurus.
Gemini are romantics and most likely to be open to a holiday encounter being one of the most open signs and welcome to change.
Cancer are lovers of Summer travel opting for a warm and sunny holiday; hopping across different European cities in the Summer is well-suited to those in this star sign.
Leo are the biggest fans of group tours – sociable Leos are well-equipped for travelling in crowds, opting for festival events where they can immerse themselves in the culture and people.
Virgo are known for being organised and aren’t a great match for a free-spirited Sagittarius; for a Virgo to have a great travel experience, a well-thought-out itinerary is a must.
Libra are lovers of all things luxurious and most likely to spend their cash on premium plane seating, a room upgrade or shopping.
Scorpio are lone wolves and the most confident ones love a solo travel adventure, where they can feel truly immersed in a new cultural experience.
Sagittarius are one the easiest-going travellers of all signs and also the biggest believers in astrology; they are more likely to use astrology to plan their travels and let their wild spirit run free.
Capricorns want to make friends when travelling, to stretch their horizons while on holiday and sit out of their comfort zones.
