AGFG has it on very good authority that the exclusive gastronomic dining experience four stories above the ground will combine high adventure with fine dining! The 1920s power station was reborn in recent years to create a vibrant cutting-edge home of contemporary art and culture and now they're reimagining the future of dining, creating an adrenaline-packed dinner experience quite literally mid-air! Harness up folks! You're going to need it.

Brisbane’s first vertical restaurant will overhang from Brisbane Powerhouse’s industrial façade, where adventurers are served a delicious meal crafted by talented Bar Alto Chefs using local ingredients. Once dinner is complete, diners can descend through the building or end the meal with one final adrenalin burst by dropline down the building’s façade.

"Vertigo is unlike anything else in the world,” says Powerhouse's CEO and Artistic Director, Kate Gould. "It is an unexpected combination of adventure tourism and fine dining on a heritage site and stepping off the roof to take a seat suspended at your table, four stories above the ground will be the ultimate thrill.”

The silver service dining is just as thrilling, however, albeit one with unbreakable crockery and cutlery attached to the table!” Riverlife creator and co-founder John Sharpe says Vertigo will push the boundaries of adventure. "We are creating a uniquely Brisbane dining experience, at height. You will be on the edge of your seat in the open air before descending via an unforgettable exit. Vertigo will inspire fear but with the knowledge that safety is the priority of our experienced team of adventure tourism guides.”

Opening October 2023, Vertigo can host multiple tables of two each evening, Thursday to Sunday, weather permitting. At $250 per person, the set menu can be adapted to cater for most dietary requirements. Book your Vertigo experience here at www.vertigobrisbane.com.au
