Big Bites, Bold Beats: Metro Brew’in's Winter Menu is a Mic Drop Moment

By Marie-Antoinette Issa.

If your vibe leans more street beats and stacked eats than schooners and schnitzels, Metro Brew’in in Marrickville is about to be your new Winter go-to.

With graffiti walls plastered in tributes to Drake, J. Cole and American record producer Metro Boomin, the space has been humming with the energy of hip hop, R&B and late-night studio sessions since opening its doors last September.

Just like a fire mixtape drop, the new Winter menu is packed with heavy hitters.

From the jump, Metro Brew’in has built its rep on good food, good vibes and good times:

"Our vision is to create a dining destination that offers something for everyone,” says co-owner Veronique. "From brunch with friends to cosy dinners and family meals, we want it to feel like home - just with better food.”

This new Winter menu delivers. Think vvo & feta vibez - a cheeky remix of your classic avo toast - and starters like Philly cheesesteak puffs and the smash hit chimichurri, perfect for sharing (or not).

Then there’s the baguette line-up, which slaps. The Holy Cow brings the heat for beef lovers, Metro Sausage Sizzle is a street food upgrade with all the toppings and Nashville Hot Tracks brings that spicy, saucy, late-night energy in sandwich form.

Feeling hungry-hungry? The ‘On a Plate’ section goes all in: steak & shroom pasta, Sausage casarecce, fried lasagne and the crowd-favourite gnocchi a la vodka - a mash-up of schnitty meets pasta that hits every craving in one.

Little homies are sorted too, with ‘Little Steak’ and ‘Little Baguette’ meals, both served up with chips and tomato sauce. When it’s time to wrap it all up, you’ll want the beignets - fluffy doughnut balls filled with choc or caramel. Perfect with a coffee, or a second round.

Behind the scenes dynamic duo John and Mora - co-owners and Chefs whose roots stretch from Reunion Island to Sydney - bring an inimitable energy that truly makes Metro Brew’in worth the visit.

Mora’s background in French cuisine shows up in the details. However, it’s her passion for nostalgic, home-style flavour that gives every dish its heart.

"I want to give Sydney a taste of the food I grew up with,” she says. "Food that’s rich in flavour, joy and culture.”

So, whether you’re pulling up for a late brunch, linking with mates for dinner, or grabbing a bite solo with your headphones in, Metro Brew’in’s Winter menu hits hard. It’s the kind of place that keeps it real - on the plate and in the vibe.
