About Wholegreen Bakery Cafe
For people who have coeliac disease, or are gluten-intolerant, Wholegreen Bakery and Café is the answer to their prayers. This Waverley bakery and Sydney CBD café on Clarence Street grew from owner and nutritionist Cherie Lyden’s desire to find a healthy diet for her daughter, who was diagnosed as a coeliac at age four. Passionate about making truly delicious handmade gluten-free baked goods, using fresh seasonal ingredients and no preservatives, the crew at Wholegreen dish up everything from crusty bread to artisanal pies like slow-cooked beef and onion, free-range chicken and mushroom and leek. You’ll also find delectable sweet treats such as classic French tarts like lemon meringue; alongside more rustic creations like chocolate beetroot cake and chai-spiced orange and carrot cake.
