About Yama
Tucked neatly on the second floor at the northern end of the Queen Victoria Building, Yama on George Street in Sydney’s CBD, is where you can enjoy delicious Japanese food, an extensive range of tea and coffee and much more. Relax in the open, calming ambience with full views of the heritage architecture, stained-glass windows and high glass ceilings of the QVB and peruse a carefully hand-crafted menu boasting fresh, seasonal sushi and sashimi, crispy tempura and hot noodle soups. Perhaps opt for a green tea seafood pancake with vegetables, roasted sesame seeds and teriyaki sauce, or chicken curry katsu don on a bed of rice with jalapeños, salad and curry sauce. Carnivores delve into teppan-grilled marinated beef and vegetables, on rice with pickled ginger and roasted sesame seeds.
