Rosé is sometimes considered to be a seasonal wine, with the best time suggested to be from late Spring until the end of Autumn. Really this delicious drop can be drunk at any time of the year and there is no better vintage to try than Carrajung Estate’s 2022 Rosé.
Vibrant in colour and Provence in style, this wine has aromas of strawberry gum, red apple skin, pear and red currant, underpinned by a savoury undertone.

The palate is medium-bodied, showing red cherry, strawberry, cranberry, gentle spice and a subtle amaro-like bitterness framing the finish. This is a gastronomic wine to be enjoyed now and paired with dishes such as smoked rainbow trout croquette, dill and fennel remoulade, as found on the menu at Carrajung’s onsite restaurant.
A rebrand of the former Tom’s Cap Vineyard Retreat on Lays Road in Willung South, this Central Gippsland vineyard and winery is the place to escape to enjoy life’s simple pleasures, leaving behind the hustle and bustle to take a scenic nature walk before heading to the outdoor seating areas for a wine under the stars.

Estate-grown grapes are lovingly grown and tended to, then carefully crafted by iconic award-winning winemaker Marcus Satchell to produce wines that range from rich and bold to light and crisp.
A carefully curated collection has something to please every palate, from Sauvignon Blanc to Rosé, Shiraz and Chardonnay, which can all be sampled at the cellar door – open from Thursday to Sunday, 11am-3pm.
