Friday work lunches for the AGFG crew are a time to get together at the end of the week and catch up over…quite often pizza!
Recently we had the chance to trial the new Gozney portable pizza oven, Tread – built to go wherever you do.
Hyper-portable, ultra-rugged and adventure-ready, it features lightweight construction and high-performance insulation that means you can make world-class pizza absolutely anywhere - from the beach to the bush and anywhere in between.
For us, it was the first-floor outdoor patio off the lunch and meeting room as about 20 of us gathered to create our own individual pizza perfection.
The first thing we noticed was how quickly it heated up and how hot it actually got. We were serving delicious pizzas within a few minutes of turning on the gas!
We had a production line going with shop-bought bases and toppings ready to assemble pizzas with everything from ham and chicken to marinated artichoke, sun-dried tomato and olives.
The pizzabilities were endless…
One staff member, Harvey, even made his own dough at home and entertained us by hand-stretching it before amassing a pizza we were all very jealous of.
The oven came with a range of accessories that made life very easy…particularly the pizza cutter, which was deemed to be the best anyone had ever used – so sharp, some even contemplated slicing the onions with it!
One helpful tip we can pass on to wannabe pizza makers, don’t use too many toppings! Some of us got a little carried away and the results weren’t quite as succinct as those who showed more restraint.
Overall, we give the Gozney Tread a big thumbs up! Can’t wait for the next round of Friday pizza-making.
