Rose All Day – Four Roses for Spring Sipping.

Warm days, sandy toes, barbeque aromas and of course Rosé…what better wine is there for Spring and Summer sipping.

Spring is only a couple of days away and thoughts turn to alfresco family gatherings, longer evenings as the sky fades to pink and a cold glass of vino to wind down after the long work day.

Here are our four top rosé tips to enjoy as you spring into the new season:

Fresh wines for good times are what you get from Golden Child Wines on Brookman Road in Dingabledinga. Producing lo-fi wines from the Southern Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale, this winery implements sustainable farming with largely organic practices to produce wines such as Chardonnay, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Grenache and Rosé.
Beach Bum Rosé 2021 is made from Pinot Noir grapes grown at Kuitpo – this is an acid-driven and complex rosé, with a soft, generous mid-palate thanks to barrel and lees influences. There are lots of wild strawberry and pink grapefruit vibes with a tangy citrus finish. Who doesn’t love a dry, textural modern Australian rosé?

The Goon Tycoons from Yallingup in WA are three guys who have been in the wine industry for many years, let out and about on good behaviour from their everyday jobs – Julian Langworthy is the winemaker, John Fogarty the viticulturist and Mark Fogarty counts the cash.

Launched in 2015, Goon Tycoons operates a cellar door at the Abbey Vale vineyard in the Margaret River region; there you can taste drops like the Rapunzel Field Blend, a rosé but not as you know it. A field blend of predominantly Chardonnay, Nebbiolo, Merlot and Pinot Noir, this wine tastes so good you will long for more. Apricot in colour and textured like the sun…let your hair down with this one!

Drawn from one of Provence’s most celebrated terroirs, AIX is created to be the purest possible expression of what a rosé wine can be. This wine can be enjoyed all year round and the 2021 AIX Rosé is perfect for any convivial occasion – be it early aperitifs, long lunches, or matched with the finest Michelin-starred dishes.

It is a wine to be shared with family and friends to bring people together and to celebrate life’s precious moments. Pure, pale salmon pink in colour, with gentle onion skin hues that shine in the glass upon swirling, AIX Rosé has a fine, delicate nose with floral blossom, peach, fresh citrus and hints of red fruit, leading to a fresh and bright palate.
