Back at the end of last year, we reported on the GABS Hottest 100 Craft Beer People’s Choice List, returning for its 16th year.
This week we are thrilled to bring the winners to you, as judged by none other than you – the drinker.
- Mountain
Culture Brewing Co. from the Blue Mountains took out the win for
the second year in a row with its Status Quo, Pale Ale.
- Balter
Brewers the brewing company that Mick Fanning is involved
with, placed second for XPA Pale Ale.
- BentSpoke from
Canberra, which has been in the top three for years, placed third with Crankshaft
IPA.
In terms of State vs State however is where the fun is at. NSW Breweries took out the bragging rights for most beers on the Hottest 100 List (with 27 beers) while Queensland had 24 although Victoria was not far behind at 22. Further down WA appeared with 11 spots and ACT alongside SA equal with 8 spots. Interestingly in 2023, a non-alcoholic beer made the list in 33rd position, Heaps Normal.
