Cocktail of the Week from OH MY PAPA Eastend.

Technically, it’s not drinking alone if the bartender is there!

You know the drill…it’s Friday afternoon and time to relax after a long and stressful work week.

What better way to chill out than with a cocktail at your favourite bar or restaurant? Alternatively, you could take the party home and concoct the perfect drink to usher in the weekend.

Welcome to our Cocktail of the Week series, where each Friday we will highlight a cheeky creation to tantalise tastebuds and set the tone for good times.

Food feeds the soul in a roller coaster ride of taste at OH MY PAPA Eastend on Perkins Street in Newcastle. Chill out in a fun and funky vibe of neon signage declaring ‘Papa, I need more drinks’, brick, sparkling chandeliers and subway tiles as you peruse an Asian-influenced menu sure to tempt all palates, along with signature cocktails, wine and spirits.

Mixologist Aya Lertaromrat serves up the Baby, I Am Thirsty cocktail as an ode to sneaking out from your parents as a teenager – delivering fresh clean flavours of vodka, watermelon liqueur, cranberry, pomegranate and lemon juice.

"We love people giggling when they read the name of our cocktails and try them one by one, step by step,” Aya explains. "Baby, I Am Thirsty is so popular because it is sweet and refreshing, we recommend this handcrafted cocktail as a starter to your evening. You can’t go wrong with it.”
