Cocktail of the Week from Mr Mista Mixologist Sam Wruck.

Technically, it’s not drinking alone if the bartender is there!

You know the drill…it’s Friday afternoon and time to relax after a long and stressful work week.

What better way to chill out than with a cocktail at your favourite bar or restaurant. Alternatively, you could take the party home and concoct the perfect drink to usher in the weekend.

Welcome to our Cocktail of the Week series, where each Friday we will highlight a cheeky creation to tantalise tastebuds and set the tone for good times.

Mr Mista on Ann Street in Fortitude Valley delivers an LA-inspired cocktail bar and Asian-influenced kitchen to Brisbanites who love an elegant dining experience and also love to party. After you and the crew have finished feasting on tasty share plates, drink up for a night of bao-fuelled boogying as Mr Mista transforms into a dance club on Friday and Saturday until late.

With Red Carpet house cocktails named after some of Hollywood’s most iconic actors, mixologist Sam Wruck delivers the ‘Ryan Reynolds’.

"This cocktail brings together the smooth flavours of Japanese whisky with the earthy, sweet tones of matcha and green tea to create a cocktail much like his Green Lantern character – bold but charming and always ready for action,” Sam explains.

If Ryan is not your cup of cocktail, don’t despair – there are also Margot Robbie and Leonardo di Caprio concoctions for a star-studded drinks evening!
