Cocktail of the Week from Meraki Arts Bar.

Technically, it’s not drinking alone if the bartender is there!

You know the drill…it’s Friday afternoon and time to relax after a long and stressful work week.

What better way to chill out than with a cocktail at your favourite bar or restaurant? Alternatively, you could take the party home and concoct the perfect drink to usher in the weekend.

Welcome to our Cocktail of the Week series, where each Friday we will highlight a cheeky creation to tantalise tastebuds and set the tone for good times.

Expect a complete night of experiences under one roof at Meraki Arts Bar on Oxford Street in Darlinghurst. Join the live entertainment, signature cocktails, food and drink offerings in a range of ways to play and relax, no matter what you are looking for – Meraki will reward your curiosity.

At Meraki Arts Bar, the Gallery Lounge features six new weekly cocktails. That may seem like a daunting task, but when you think about the thousands of labour combinations and seasonal ingredients available, it’s really more a love than labour!

What better example than this featured cocktail from Bar Manager JC -  the Yuz Are Gonna Love This

Coming up with drink names is usually down to how silly staff are feeling at the time! Drinking cocktails should be fun and an enjoyable experience and a quirky name always means your first impression of the drink takes you on a journey - there’s no better way than with a smile and a giggle.

This cocktail is made from Cachaca, a relative to White Rum and the national drink of Peru; made from fermented sugar can, it has a clear and decisive funk, much like kombucha.

For the Yuz are Gonna Love this - start with Cachaca, a relative to White Rum and the national drink of Peru. It’s made from fermented sugar cane, which gives it a clear and decisive funk, much like kombucha.

Paired with yuzu syrup, orange juice, Prosecco and Bundaberg Guava Soda - a citrus blend with a bubbly tingle - means this drink is super fresh and crisp, making it ideal for those who like their spritz with a little more zing that’s equally delicious and refreshing.
