Exceptional Food and Service
My wife and I had our first visit to the W&R last night, had we not be moving on in our travels, we’d definitely be back. We will be recommending this to friends who are following us through in a few weeks.
The food (beef cheek curry for me and seafood pasta for my wife) was first class and the service great.
Pricing, given the high quality, was very reasonable too.

Amazing food and great service
Not our first time to this restaurant and the food never disappoints. My Moreton Bay Bugs were delicious and hubby had muscles topped off with a beautiful bottle of wine. Kitchen is open and we can see the efficiency and calm in these guys cooking. For us nothing short of brilliant.
Absolutely amazing food & service
I was in Port Douglas for my 60th birthday for 10 days. I spotted this restaurant, when out shopping so booked it for our group. Amazing service, food was fabulous, I had the Mud Crab all to myself and although I struggled to get into the crab it was delicious. A must place to visit if in Port Douglas.
Amazing seafood, beautiful restaurant, memorable meal
My husband and I had dinner here recently, it was definitely one of the best, if not the best, meal we had in Port Douglas (and we ate out every night). It's a lovely restaurant on Macrossan St, modern and open-fronted, also very popular. Service was very good (and bear in mind that most, if not all, businesses are short-staffed). We shared Warm Sourdough with Evo Oil - a generous sized 'homebaked' loaf of delicious warm bread, divine! For mains, my husband had Barramundi in asian flavoured stock, OMG so beautiful, melt in your mouth. I had Baked Moreton Bay Bugs in coconut laksa with asian greens & rice, delicious. We were so full that I couldn't fit in a dessert. Presentation of meals excellent. If you want to eat here, BOOK ASAP as all good restaurants in Port Douglas are booked out well in advance.
Service with a Big Smile
Dinner with friends was made a completely delightful experience because of Wrasse and Roe’s exceptional staff. Without fail, each of the waitstaff who looked after us was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to return!

Poor front desk service
We waited at the front of an empty restaurant and requested a table by which we were told they only take “walk-ins”. What is the difference? Very unpleasant atmosphere created by the hostess which forced us to walk away. We were really looking forward to dinning in.
