For more than 30 years, Sydney Cove Oyster Bar has been serving the city’s finest seafood from its iconic water’s edge venue on Circular Quay. Soak up sensational sunsets over the Harbour Bridge at white-clothed tables while sipping a bubbles and grazing on house specialty oysters Kilpatrick, and peruse a menu inspired by simplicity and locally sourced produce. Embark on your culinary journey with Black Siberian caviar, blinis, capers, eschalot and sour cream; before a mesmerising main of Moreton Bay bugs with tamarind sauce, garlic, chilli, kaffir lime, lemongrass, shallots, coriander and lotus leaf buns. Surf and turf Tajima Wagyu rump, topped with King prawn and seaweed butter, will tempt steak lovers; finish decadently with Grand Marnier poached pear, candied pecans and vanilla gelato.

I have to review this place again! After missing our flight from Brisbane to Bali, we had to take the next available which meant flying to Sydney with a 5-hour layover. I called Sydney Cove Oyster Bar and explained our terrible morning and asked if it was at all possible for a table by the water. On arrival, Alek had a prime table ready and waiting, right by the water. He proceeded to make our lunch a memorable one and certainly made the detour to Sydney worth it! Food was amazing as always, cannot fault this place.
This place has got to have the best location in Circular Quay! We managed to score ourselves a table right by the water (as long as we were out by 5 which suited us fine). The staff were great - loved that they were all wearing funky sunglasses. Food was delicious, some of the freshest prawns I have had. Would highly reccomend Sydney Cove Oyster Bar. Next time I am in Sydney it will be on my hit list!
