About Bodhi Restaurant Bar
quality of food - unique buddist vegan covering all cultures. family operated personal touch. Stunning Alfresco area with new lighting/fairy lights tranquil beautiful outdoor lighting. Romantic, It’s Buddhist vegan food, largely tofu and soy, crafted by the chefs to resemble the look and taste of the usual meat and seafood offerings. We went there for yum cha where the waiters bring around trays of food which look the same as you would find throughout Chinatown. Everything apart from the meat in the middle is exactly as you would find it elsewhere. We ordered seven dishes ranging from dumplings to noodles and wontons that had a wonderful fresh and light taste

'Best Kept Secret'Vegan Restaurant is no longer a secret...
I come here regularly for lunch and dinner. The lunch is a yum cha style experience and dinner has a great Asian tapas selection as well as main course dishes. Lots of gluten free options and the food is always fresh and organic. the staff are very friendly and the owner Heaven Leigh is quite interesting, she is always willing to come out and have a chat about what they do and I like feeling welcome every time I come in. I wanted to have my anniversary party at a great restaurant but am limited to where I can go, they were very professional and Bodhi is the premium upmarket location/venue to choose. Even my corporate colleagues and carnivor friends LOVED it, they were super impressed. Can't speak highly enough of them! Used to be able to walk in and get a table but now it seems after 30 years everyone else has discovered just how good they are so I recommend booking and asking for an outdoor table.
The food at Bodhi always seems to be just right. As a vegan I can always take my carnivorous friends along and be sure they will be intrigued by the menu options and satisfied with whatever delicious dishes they are served. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable but some of the wait-staff can be a tad cool. Service is, however usually prompt and the food is always fresh and flavoursome. I have eaten at Bodhi since it first opened many years ago, and I expect I always will.
