About Basil Nut Cafe & Restaurant

Nestled in an arcade on Katoomba Street in the picturesque Blue Mountains, is family run café Basil Nut. This labour of love is the culmination of years of experience for a brother and sister duo, with an internationally inspired menu to suit any palate. Once inside this rustic café, the colourful chalk boards and olive green interior walls with ambient lighting, set the mood for casual, mouth-watering dining. Lunchgoers can delve into an Asian street food menu filled with the likes of grilled satay chicken skewers and steamed prawn and scallop dumplings; while those on the go can grab a Peking duck tortilla wrap or tempura soft shell crab burger. Evening diners may be enticed by slow-cooked lamb curry with kumara and peanuts, or garlic pepper beef on a bed of steamed seasonal vegetables.

Very tasty genuine flavour

This is a fabulous foodies venue! It has the feel of eating in the inner west but in Katoomba! The Exotic Kulaway Seafood Curry is simply a masterpiece - both in presentation and taste! There is a huge variety of dishes without loss of flavour or detail to presentation!! A must if visiting - book or you'll be disappointed!!!
