Blueberry Bramble by Bigtree Distillery


For the blueberry syrup:

250g fresh or frozen blueberries
125 mL water
30 mL lemon juice
2 Tbs sugar

For the cocktail

20mL Elegant Dry Gin
20mL Blueberry Thrill Gin
30mL lemon Juice
15mL simple syrup (one part sugar to one part water) or preferred sweetener
15mL Chambord Liqueur
Fresh berries to garnish (e.g. 1 blackberry and a few blueberries)
2 Tbs of blueberry syrup


The Blueberry Syrup:

Make the blueberry syrup first to set aside and cool. To make the syrup, cook 250g of fresh or frozen blueberries with 125mL of water, 30mL of lemon juice and 2 Tbs of sugar until berries are soft and sugar is dissolved. Blend to a syrup consistency.

The Cocktail

For the cocktail, mix together equal parts of Bigtree Distillery’s Elegant Dry Gin and Blueberry Thrill Gin, lemon juice and simple syrup. Fill a tumbler glass with ice and pour over the cocktail mix. Top the glass with packed crushed snow ice and then spoon over 2 Tbs of the blueberry syrup and drizzle over the Chambord.
