Housed in a 150-year-old cottage, Pratty’s Patch on Monsants Road, sits right at home in historic Bendigo. Weathered stone and brick walls give Pratty’s Patch a warm and pastoral feel, while artefacts like rusted iron stocks and a bushranger statue pay homage to its convict heritage. Inside you’ll find the reception friendly, the bill fair and portions generous, just what you’d expect from a place with such old world charm. Start with scallop and green prawn skewers served with rice, Asian salad and housemade dipping sauce, before mains such as char-grilled lamb rump atop a Greek salad, with Turkish bread, basil pesto, balsamic glaze and garlic yoghurt. Burger and bar menu choices are also tempting while enjoying an after-work drink and a large function room caters for events and weddings.

Pratty's Patch was built in 1863 by John Fellows to replace a smaller bark hut constructed about 3 years earlier by John and his convict wife.Pratty's Patch was made into a restaurant during the early 1980s. The large function room was extended ten years later and the public bar was added in 1996.
