About Gold Mines Hotel
Dine in elegant splendour at historic Gold Mines Hotel on Marong Road in Bendigo. Built in 1872 and representing the height of prosperity during the gold rush years, this beautifully restored hotel boasts fretworked verandahs, one of Bendigo's oldest gardens, a courtyard and private dining options. A warm and welcoming ambience awaits indoors, where a rich colour palette, intimate table settings and a seasonal menu offers modern dining while remaining faithful to some of the pub's roots. Start with pan-seared scallops, butternut squash puree, quinoa, pickled raisin and apple salad and seaweed butter; before delving into braised lamb shank, ras el hanout spice, tomato, creamy mash and broccolini. Finish divinely with lemon curd and poppy seed cake, bay leaf meringue and yoghurt ice cream.
