A Hidden Gem

Truly a diamond in the rough... Have visited quite a few restaurants in the area, even some of the hatted restaurants, and this new restaurant has them covered. We opted for the tasting menu, and were pleasantly surprised. The quality was exceptional, as was the price. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and deserve praise for the new standard set in the area. Will definitely return

An exceptional place for a meal. The restaurant has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The staff are extremely friendly and the food outstanding. The highlight dishes were the scallops, followed by the chicken, and finished off nicely with a wonderfully creamy panna cotta. Great value for money and will definitely be back. Thankyou Pins on Lurline for a wonderful evening.

Originally built as a guest house at the turn of the century, Pins on Lurline is nestled in the heart of picturesque Katoomba. Today, this grand house is herald as a unique and authentic dining experience by locals and tourists alike, so be sure to soak in the old world charms by sitting alfresco and enjoying a glass from their extensive wine list curated from Mudgee, Orange and the Hunter Valley. Head Chef Adam Shaw has created a Modern Australian menu with a slight Italian twist using high quality, locally sourced produce for dishes such as duck tortellini served with orange foam, pistachio cream and a red wine and cherry jus. For main fare perhaps try crispy skinned mulloway served with a squid ink risotto and a glass of Mudgee wine and be sure to finish off the experience with dessert.

Entree: scallops served with celeriac puree, cucumber citrus foam, confit of leek, and dehydrated lemon. Main: Chicken Ballantine - Chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto, with a goat’s cheese & capsicum stuffing, parsnip, polenta & butternut cream sauce & candied walnuts. Dessert: white chocolate pana cotta served with honeycomb, strawberries and a champagne rose water sorbet.
