This place is fantastic.. A wonderful heritage listed home, secluded away from all the traffic of the main part of town, this venue offers an extensive menu, both food and wine, that simply cant be missed. The Tasting menu is an absolute must.

Unmissable Treat

Hidden away just outside of Katoomba, this quaint restaurant is a standout within the Blue Mountains. The staff are friendly, the food is amazing, (try the Tasting menu for great value), and the building and grounds are outstanding. Book early as this place, and rightfully so, fills up early

Pins on Lurline Overview

Originally built as a guest house at the turn of the century, Pins on Lurline nestles in the heart of picturesque Katoomba. Today, this grand house is heralded as a unique and authentic dining experience by locals and tourists alike, so be sure to soak up the old world charm by sitting alfresco and enjoying a glass from an extensive wine list curated from Mudgee, Orange and the Hunter Valley. Head Chef Adam Shaw has created a Modern Australian menu with a slight Italian twist, using high quality, locally sourced produce for dishes such as zucchini flowers filled with ricotta, sun-dried tomatoes and fig with a capsicum cream sauce. For main fare, enjoy the smoked kangaroo, served with caramelised figs, confit baby beets, tomato relish and raspberry jus; finished with toblerone cheesecake.

Best Known For

Pork Belly: slow braised pork belly served with truffle mash, spiced cauliflower, confit cherry tomatoes and smoky fennel jus.

My usual personal rule is that if Google maps say the venue is over one hour from home then I won’t attend for a review UNLESS it is something I would be insane to miss. PINS ON LURLINE, in Katoomba, is exactly two hours from my place. My first reaction wasn’t in the positive but then I had an idea….. grab a mate, make a day trip of it, check out The Three Sisters, re-visit my old fave, THE PARAGON, check out the Pub we used to own and live in, THE ALEX (in Leura), and then enjoy this beaut...
