Located 90 kilometres from Tennant Creek and 1120 sq km’s. The Davenport Range National Park is home to the Waramungu, Alyawerre and Kaytetye people. Aboriginal ties to this land are very strong, with the Ranges featured in many Dreamtime stories. The park is also an important refuge for fauna, especially water birds due to an extensive network of waterholes. At least seven species of fish are present in the many permanent waterholes which are isolated from any other river system.
