About Trawool Estate
Contemporary Australian cuisine with a focus on a farm-to-plate philosophy is what you can expect at Wild Water restaurant on Goulburn Valley Highway in Trawool. Proudly named after the translation of the local Aboriginal word Traawool and nestled in The Trawool Estate, this casual dining venue has a light, bright vibe from a full glass frontage allowing sweeping views of the countryside, blond wood table settings and potted greenery. Stop by the Granite Bar for a pre-dinner drink of a house Negroni, before indulging in black bream crudo, citrus caper oil and avocado, or venison steak tartare, burnt apricot and melba. For the main, delve into smoked duck breast, native berries sauce and collard greens; or roasted local pork Scotch medallions, charred fennel purée and pickled jalapeño.

Amazing place to be not too far from home
An amazing getaway in regional Victoria closer to home then you think. Gorgeous views, beautiful staff and amazing food. Definitely a place to visit and revisit.

How's the serenity?
I've been to Trawool a couple of times now, and on each visit the food has been superb. It certainly doesn't hurt that Wild Water has some of the best views in regional Victoria on offer and makes the most of the local produce offerings. Cest magnifique!

We've eaten at Trawool numerous times and it never disappoints. Great options on the menu..... always so fresh and tasty.
It really is that good!!!
You know those moments when you just sit back and think I don’t want this to end. From the welcome at reception, stunning rooms and country views to soothe any soul, it didn’t disappoint. The good got better when we sat down to eat. Local food cooked amazingly well and served by a team that showed they cared. It’s a long drive from Sydney but without a doubt we’re coming back.

Stayed the weekend with the whole fam and ate here both nights. Really delicious food well matched to the lovely local environment.
A Jewel in the Crown of Regional Victoria
We have eaten here on several occasions now and it is easily the best regional dining experience I have had in Victoria for a long time. The food was was faultless - with attentive yet relaxed service to match. Who knew a char grilled lettuce could be so flavoursome. The perfect accompaniment to the succulent slow cooked beef ribs. Can’t wait to get back there. Do yourself a favour and get to Trawool at your earliest convenience!
A divine experience with a view to match
I dined here twice in the one day as part of an overnight stay at Trawool Estate. Being vegan, finding food that feels like fine dining without feeling like you are missing out can be a challenge. But not here. The ratatouille was incredible with elevated flavors, with the crispy caper garnish bringing the meal together perfectly. I also had the tomato salad which brought back memories of eating tomatoes straight from my Nans garden - when tomatoes really tasted like tomatoes. Highly recommend Wild Water for a special meal, but I really recommend you turn it into a special weekend away. Cannot wait to visit again.

Food is next level, clean, fresh and overall a experience for the senses. Have dined in hatted restaurants before and this is certainly at that level.

Have eaten here a few times now and the food is always delicious! The scenery is gorgeous and relaxing and only a short drive from Melbourne. Nice get away to stay for a few days too. I also recommend the cocktails on offer too, amazing!

Attended Trawool Estate for a corporate event, the food served during the lunch break was incredibly flavourful, moist and just melted in your mouth. The location is amazing, gorgeous views and incredible customer service. The owners were there during our event and showed us through the accommodation, the Bridal Sweet is to die for! Would definitely return

Lovely all around
Good in the summer, looking forward to winter here The food is lovely, you get the feeling that a lot of time goes into establishing close relationships with premium providers. And while I loved my dining time there in summer, I'm really looking forward to sitting in front of the big fireplace, with a big red, this winter.
The other things to praise is the decor and building ... the restoration of this grand, old country building, and its grounds, is a triumph.

Absolutely wonderful
A stylish place in the country- a pleasant drive away, stylish interiors (even the bathrooms!) and lovely service..... then the food comes out and you are blown away by the flavours... my mouth is watering thinking about the many meat dishes we had... oh the ribs!
I recommend to anyone who will listen. A must go place!

Perfection
Getting out of the city would have been enough for us recently, but then dining here made it an awesome get away. The setting, the staff and the ambiance were all wonderful... but we’ll be returning for the food! There’s only so many things we could eat in one sitting, so we’re heading back soon to try more.
