The only complaint I have is that we found this restaurant on our last night in town. Do your self a favour and make sure you place the watergate on your list of places to dine.
If visiting Port Douglas I can highly recommend the Watergate Restaurant. My wife an I ate there twice during our stay. Both times were fantastic. Although on the second visit we did have a table of loud Americans seated next to us. But the food and the waiter (Mel) ensured a great night. I can recommend the rabbit pot pie and the coral trout. Both were fantastic. Make the Watergate a stop if you are visiting Port Douglas. and asked to be seated out the front on the deck.
