Signature restaurant of Montville’s picturesque Spicers Clovelly Estate, The Long Apron is a dining experience that insists on a lengthy stay. This intimate restaurant feels instantly inviting and once seated in the elegant yet comfortable dining room, with its black French provincial-style chairs and white tablecloths, or out on the terrace gazing over the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, you’ll find it hard to leave. Most alluring are the seasonal European-inspired dishes on the menu, which blend classic techniques and the finest local produce with elegant results. Delve into the likes of venison tartare, cured egg yolk, black garlic gel, radish and a rye cracker to start; followed by lamb backstrap, braised shoulder, gnocchi Parisian and Falls Farm roots, best enjoyed with matching wines.

Almond Dacquoise, Chocolate Cremeux, Whipped Ganache, Almond and Miso Ice Cream- Chef Recipe by Geoff Abel
The trick to this recipe is sourcing high-quality chocolate. The dessert will only be as good as the chocolate. Whipping the ganache provides a beautiful airy texture. The miso in this dish gives the ice cream salted caramel notes. Bonus points for making your own miso for the ice cream. If you don't have an ice cream machine, good quality store-bought salted caramel ice cream is your next best thing!
