When it comes to the quintessential Clare Valley experience, combine wining and dining in peaceful surrounds at Sevenhill Hotel. With country heart and a warm traditional design, this community-minded establishment aims to be the hub of action for locals and visitors alike; bask in the glow of a flickering log fire while enjoying a glass of award-winning wine, linger in the breezy alfresco area or take a seat in one of the large dining rooms to feast on hearty Modern Australian fare. Sourced from the surrounding Clare Valley, Sevenhill’s menu is carefully crafted to highlight fresh local produce, evident in dishes such as sous vide peppered kangaroo, with chermoula, preserved lemon and thyme couscous, mixed leaves and dukkah; best paired with a wine selected from the cellar door.
A few words from Sevenhill Hotel
Sevenhill Hotel Promoting the Clare Valley:
The Sevenhill hotel is on a mission to support local sporting and community clubs and promote the Clare Valley. Publican's Paul Longbottom and Kate Shadiac want the hotel and restaurant to be a hub of activity for the locals.
Recognising that a pub cannot take its customers for granted, Paul said he will continue to maintain a strong focus on excellent food and customer service.
Paul has introduced Sunday afternoon music sessions to enjoy over the wide range of Clare Valley wines and locally brewed beers, plus a full range of beers on tap.
Sevenhill Hotel is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Menu is changed seasonally. Head chef B.J. is "the king of steaks" said Paul, and a number of different cuts of beef feature on the restaurant's new spring menu, along with vegetarian, chicken, pork, fish options and traditional pub fare. Sevenhill Hotel is part of the Eat Local initiative, and wherever possible B.J. uses seasonal produce from the local region.
Change the scenery for your next committee meeting and use the special meeting facilities free of charge. Organise your next function or private dinner in the downstairs cellar. For the commuters, there is ample parking behind the hotel, including space for cars towing caravans or trailers, and the hotel is in a great location for a rest and refuel, for those cycling or walking the Riesling Trail.
The outside dining area provides a great spot for lunch, dinner or a drink for warmer days, but on those colder days there are plenty of fireplaces to sit beside and keep warm while enjoying a glass of red, stout or perhaps a coffee and delicious dessert. Families are well catered for with a Kid's Menu and colouring-in to keep the little ones entertained.
