About Pepper Lunch Canberra
At the centre of Canberra’s many organised, sculptured boulevards, is do-it-yourself restaurant, Pepper Lunch on Bunda Street. An unassuming frontage gives way to a welcoming interior of warm brick and wood panelling, complete with a stone tiled bar, light wooden dividers and lifelike artificial grass. Originating in Japan, the concept of Pepper Lunch is that the plate itself is the grill and the diner is the Chef, stirring and frying up Asian-style fare, as well as taking on the added responsibility of sauces and seasoning. Start off with kimchi chicken and cheese pepper rice, or prawns with miso soup, side salad and chips; perhaps a sizzling curry such as chicken, prawn, scallop or chicken karaage may entice, while pasta lovers twirl a fork around kale and spinach with mushrooms.

Such a great concept! This is our new regular lunch time spot. So much fun getting to grill your own meats. Very flavoursome food and very reasonably priced too!
