Experience a touch of Naples right in the heart of Hervey Bay at Paolo’s Pizza Bar on The Esplanade in Torquay. On balmy days, sit alfresco and people watch across from the beachfront, or head indoors where a moody vibe of dark charcoal-coloured walls, whitewashed brick and cartoon-style artwork adorns walls and an imported Italian wood-fired pizza oven takes pride of place. As tantalising aromas in the air, contemplate starters such as seared scallops with sautéed mushrooms, fried bread and Sambucca sauce; before pasta plates of linguine with pipis, cherry tomatoes, parsley and white wine olive oil sauce. Pizza slices like shaved porchetta with fior di latte, caramelised pear and pistachio butter always hit the mark; finish sweetly with authentic tiramisu.

Lovely food great service a genuine Italian experience
My only small complaint is that we were seated next to a table of eight and that were having a lovely time but a little noisy for the two of us. If restaurants would have larger tables together snd smaller tables together it would be nicer for the solo eater or the couples. But will definitely be back

Excellent service & an amazing menu
First time at Paolo’s but will not be the last. Amazing food with an extensive Menu. We tried the several different items & all were just beautiful. A special shout out for the sauce on the Scallops, wanted to lick the bowl??
And the service was top rate, could not ask for any better????

Great food and fabulous service. The only thing better than the food and the wine was the customer service and if you have tried the snickers donuts you know the people are DAMN good. The menu has something for everyone- I will be a regular!

This was our third night going to this lovely, authentic, Italian restaurant since I moved here 5 months ago - It has now been officially declared our forever favourite. We love this restaurant, it never disappoints. The staff are so friendly and attentive, the range and quality of beverage is excellent and the food, from entre to desert, is soooo good, soooo soooo good - so fresh, so lovingly constructed and soooo delicious. Totally recommended - don't miss this jewel of Hervey Bay.
Fabulous food / Great service
Busy place but we’re not surprised. Great Italian, amazing varied menu, super friendly staff and well worth every cent. We will definitely return and highly recommend this place to anyone who values great quality dining.
St Valentines dinner
Good choices on set menu. Meals chosen were well presented and flavoursome. Not over done with meal sizes so dessert was enjoyed too.
The staff were helpful and friendly
The waitress was knowledgeable about the wines they serve and the food. We had a good table for 7 people, we could chat with each other quite easily. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals which were tasty and well presented.
We will make a return visit.
