Best of the Best Spectacular dining in the heart of Port Douglas. My wife and I spoiled ourselves with several courses from the burrata antipasto, gamberi grilled prawns with delicious dipping bread and special beetroot relish, with a second course of a typical Neapolitan dish of Paccheri pasta with asparagus and prawns and finally Barramundi for me and Tuna for my better half.
We finished it off with a Tortino Cioccolato and a Basil ice cream, and that was the best I have ever had.
Our Neapolitan waiter treated us like a friend, and warmly invited us to each dish to make sure it was spread out so we could enjoy to our heart’s content, not throw everything on the table in one hit; he was very thoughtful.
The Tassie Pinot Noir Vino was different, and for a non-drinker who wouldn’t drink more than a glass, I polished three glasses today to compliment the entire outstanding experience while my wife enjoyed her favourite of Prosecco.
The very talented owner of Sassi has an element of eccentricity which we really liked as they are gregarious with a great sense of humour but they bring to Australia the very best of Italy in service, good humor but above all very rare and brilliant culinary specialties from Italy.
This was fine dining at the highest level. From a Sydneysider of Italian extraction come to Sassi La Cucina and take an outside table with the ocean as your backdrop. Sensational. - Francesco e Assunta

Outstanding service after arriving late at night, we were hungry. We walked up and down Macrossan St until arriving at Sassi Cucina e Bar!

Exceptional service, superb food and wine. Go if you get the opportunity.

Great food, but a little pricy, having said that everything in Port Douglas comes at an inflated price. I would definitely return.

Toni Sassi is a legend when it comes to cooking.
