About Farmers Arms Hotel

On first appearances The Farmers Arms Hotel in Daylesford does appear to be reddish, rough & rugged, but inside isn’t just about beers, burgers & the boys, this country pub has a delightful dining room that is pleasantly surprising with a revamped contemporary but casual atmosphere. The menu could include Angus fillet mignon on herb roasted field mushroom, spinach, double whipped mash and Périgueux sauce.

So impressed!! Warm and welcoming on a freezing Tuesday night. The place was busy, the food was so good and an amazing wine list too.

A truly enjoyable experience, this place makes me come back again and again!

If you're passing through Daylesford this is worth a visit. The bistro is beautiful and cozy and in summer I'm sure the courtyard would be wonderful. The food was excellent, so good we had to have dessert! The dessert was also delicious and decadent. The wine list had a great range of wines and there were some interesting beers to be had. I'd definitely eat there again.

The quintessential country gastro pub. Simple menu, straight to the point, the best of the best. Outstanding wine list. Tentative professional service. A must when visiting the region.

My wife and I had dinner here on Friday 1st May. Wonderul Quail entree and Fillet Mignon main for myself. Pork main for my wife. Absolute high quality restaurant food. Great service and good wine list. If you want high quality restaurant food in a relaxed and less formal atmosphere then this is the place. A must do in any visit to Daylesford.

Am a regular here, have never been disappointed. Worth a try.
