About Denmark House

Discover the Danish delights that await at Denmark House, one of Melbourne’s hidden treasures frequented by locals on Little Bourke Street. Resonating with a strong passion for good food, design and lifestyle, this modern gem boasts a definitively Nordic set up, crisp and clean with light wood, white washed walls and angled lampshades. Offering seasonal contemporary Danish cuisine, Denmark House’s Danish born Chef Bente Grysbæk’s meals are a unique reflection of childhood memories, revamped into exquisitely presented dishes. Lunchgoers may delve into open sandwiches of cured salmon, crème fraiche, daikon and Avruga caviar on light rye bread; while dinner presents plates such as crispy pork with beetroot and burnt onion, with a sweet finish of dream sponge cake with caramelised coconut.

Danish

Delicious Scandinavian menu, which reflects the food traditions of the Danes. A hidden gem in downtown Melbourne.

A Danish food experience for my Chinese Daughter in law and her mother from China, best danish food I have tasted in years. Also had the opportunity to buy Danish Rye bread and herrings to take home.

Had a wonderful family event for 20 of us. Drinks to start in the little cute bar, moved to restaurant for dinner, great table setting with some extra touches for our birthday event. Fixed price so everyone happy! Great consistent food quality -best Vegan options I have seen for awhile. A few snaps later we were all happy happy
