Hip and happening foodies head to Blue Café Inc on Invermay Road in Launceston. Located in the middle of Inveresk Railyards and housed in a former power station, this café attracts not only local Mums, prams and pensioners but also students and sports-minded diners, ready for a coffee and bite to eat after hitting the nearby running track. Concrete and wood dominate this venue while high glass walls let in natural light, as guests chill out over breakfasts like smashed avocado, whipped feta, dukkah, charred broccolini, poached egg and bacon, on sourdough. Those dining later may be enticed by tempura scallops, bacon aiolic mosaic leek and ginger dashi; before memorable mains such as charred Porterhouse, salt and vinegar potatoes, chimichurri and shaved Parmesan, paired with a glass of red.

Great coffee. Amazing dinner
The coffee is always consistent. Perfect every time. Do you know how rare this is? Breakfast is good , cant complain , lunch gets intersting but its the dinner that has changed my life. I had a main that was the most incredible thing I've ever eaten. The sauce was.... Im lost for words! Just incredible. They have a fire that they cook on. It gives the food a flavour you dont get from your own home cooking or bbq so its a lovely experience of flavour.

Great interesting food in a relaxed setting. We came on a wood fired dinner night and had some real flavour filled dishes. Staff really friendly and food very good at a great price. Highly recommended
