Having been out of the country for many years we were keen to see if Bishamon stood the test of time. It did and it's gone and got very popular! We had the pleasure of dining here during it's first few months in 2002. Then, it was a quiet little Japanese joint, very comfortable, with excellent service and fabulously fresh food served fast. Now it seems like the place to be in Brisbane with the restaurant quickly filling up around us and even a group waiting outside for a table. We had to have Sukiyaki again. And again it was sublime. Next time we'll try something else because the menu has so much to offer we feel like we're doing ourselves a disservice by not looking past our favourite. This time we also tried the Spicy Pork entree and we simply can't go past Gyoza. Those little pork dumplings are a sure indicator of quality. So simple but so easliy done poorly. Not in this case. Both starters were melt in your mouth, perfectly seasoned, succulent savouries. I will be back and I will tell all my friends to book a table ASAP.

Every time we are in the city we go to Bishamon for lunch. We feed my hubby, our son and myself for just $20. The lunch menue is fabulous, something for everyone, and average cost is only about $9. For that you get Soup (which comes to your table within 2 minutes of you sitting down) then, not even ten minutes later your meal comes. Served on a long plate you have also a bowl of rice, a bowl of salad with the most amaising dressing, and also you get two sushi rolls, which are made with the nicest nori I've tasted. I've had the Beef eye fillet steak for dinner and it was liturally melt in the mouth tender. The staff are wonderful and are only to happy to help you with anything. I would reccomend Bishamon to everyone but I want them all to myself! Just kidding, go there you won't be sorry at all.
