1 Tbs soy sauce
1 Tbs lemongrass paste
1 tsp brown sugar
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 tsp sesame oil
4 beef Porterhouse steaks
2 pears, cored, cut into thin wedges
350 g Asian-style salad kit
2 spring onions, thinly sliced diagonally
Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
Thinly sliced red chilli, to serve
Combine the soy sauce, lemongrass paste, sugar, garlic and oil in a large bowl. Add the beef and turn to coat. Heat a char-grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the beef for 3 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking. Set aside, covered, for 5 minutes to rest. Thinly slice.
Meanwhile, combine the pear, salad mix from the kit, dressing from the kit and half the spring onion in a large bowl.
