Classy, sophisticated dining

My family and I have had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Plage a number of times since it's opening. Each time, we are impressed by the quality of food (presentation and taste are equally commendable) as well as the service. Yuki is friendly and very knowledgeable about the ingredients. It is a pleasure to have her serve us our dinners and always remembers our little quirks and habits each time. Chef Tomo creates a piece of artwork in each dish and is truly a talented at what he does. I would highly recommend restaurant Plage.

I went to Plage last week and am still in awe of the food I ate. Great price for beautiful service and exquisite unique delicate food. Genius food but homey and well priced as a suburban evening out. Not pretentious.

Fusing Japanese flavours with Australian fare, Restaurant Plage on Military Road in Cremorne is fast earning a loyal local following. Newly opened, Plage’s inviting, relaxed vibe of light wooden chairs and black wire lights reflects a cosy, casual décor, where guests can while away the cares of the day by sipping a glass of red and contemplating a menu of taste tempters to tease any palate. Kick off a memorable dining experience with a starter of scallop sashimi with butter powder, kombu cream and dill essence, or perhaps charred beetroot salad with whipped goats cheese, buckwheat and basil. Then delve into the likes of roasted kurobuta pork with black soubise sauce, eggplant and black powder, making sure to leave room for a dessert such as mirin sweet sake ice cream with miso crumble.
