Our fave local haunt. The spicy eggs are the best brekkie in town!
Follow the locals along Tennyson Street in Elwood to popular quirky restaurant, Mr Tuppy. Step inside to discover an industrial style interior of exposed brick walls adorned with art installations, rustic timber slab table tops, polished concrete floors and hanging Edison bulb lighting, creating an ambient and relaxed space to escape the hustle and bustle of the streets outside. Mr Tuppy has created a menu packed with Mod Oz classics, reinvented with a strong Asian influence. Sample breakfast delights of crunchy nori avocado with pickled radish, fresh chilli, crunchy pumpkin seed crumble and poached egg on buck wheat with chia toast. The ravenous may opt for the pickled ox tongue schnitzel burger with kohlrabi remoulade, pumpkin jam, pickled cucumber, green mayo and chilli on a milk bun.
L.F.C Burger: with Louisiana fried soft shell crab, green papaya slaw, green chilli jam and sriracha mayo on a milk bun.

Mr Tuppy Broadsheet Melbourne
Converting a drab old newsagency into Mr Tuppy was one tough job for owner-chef Dan Watson and wife Kim Mao. But walking in now, you’d barely know its former function. The couple stripped back the walls to expose multi-toned brick, and created a grungy little cafe in an otherwise forgotten strip.
