Wow! Where to start, the whole experience was just perfect. We arrived on twilight and were quickly seated, the two waitresses that took care of us for the night were exceptional. Our glasses were never empty, our questions answered and most importantly they were passionate. We had the 5 course meal and my partner and i shared each dish so we both didn't miss out. We were pleasantly surprised at the perfect sized portions and were blown away with the tastes in each dish. No dish was lacking for flavour however our favourites were the Crab and the Bug. The deserts were to die for with the creamed rice just melting in your mouth and the sorbet bursting with flavour and crunch. The Long Apron has now become our all time favourite restaurant on the coast, it is worth the drive.
I recently celebrated my 60th birthday at The Long Apron with 10 close family members and friends. They all agreed that the food was some of the best they had ever tasted, if not THE best. The only negative feedback was some people were cold with a breeze coming through a side entrance but it was unusually cold and windy for this region. I would definitely recommend this dining experience to anyone and everyone.

Tasting menu has to be on everyone's bucket list. Truly inspiring presentation and flavours. Warm personal service, attentive, never overbearing. Lovely location, overall The Long Apron was a faultless dining experience. And we all know how hard these are to find.
simply superb, we were amazed, australias best kept secret, but don't tell anybody....
Signature restaurant of Montville’s picturesque Spicers Clovelly Estate, The Long Apron is a dining experience that insists on a lengthy stay. This intimate restaurant feels instantly inviting and once seated in the elegant yet comfortable dining room, with its black French provincial style chairs and spotless white tablecloths, or out on the terrace gazing out over the Sunshine Coast hinterland, you’ll find it hard to leave. Most alluring, is Chef Chris Hagan's seasonal European inspired dishes, which blend classic technique and the finest local produce with elegant results. The likes of coal grilled duck, roasted kale and dried plum with a dessert of beeswax sorbet and honey meringue may be enjoyed a la carte in five courses or as part of a tasting menu with perfectly matched wines.
At The Long Apron our menu changes with the seasons and the produce constantly changing around us. We aim to highlight the best of our region, sourcing our produce from local growers, catchers, farmers and makers; some of which are providing bespoke ingredients for our menus.
