We had a fabulous dinner here. There was enough variety in the menu to please everyone at the table and the food was prepared to perfection. Particular mention needs to be made of the Minestrone soup that was outstanding. One small issue was that the Frangelico Affogato was not served deconstructed but rather lumped into one glass, but aside from this we were more than happy, and the service was excellent

The menu is always pleasing with my favourites being amongst the choices of veal. They are always perfectly tender and done with amazing sauces. My dinner last week was wonderful, topped off with stellar service from the lady running the restaurant.

With a client in town I wanted to impress with a nice dinner while we discussed a bit of business. Figaro was a great venue with very tasty food and good staff with an appreciation for the privacy that we were after. Meals were very good and and I love their tiramisu!

Hutchins

Best chicken dish I've had in years.
It was juicy and packed with flavour. Almost enough to buy a ticket to Italy to submerge in food as good as this.

Really charming and great food. As much as I love the pizzas, for my money, you just can't beat the Fillet steak done with the sweet cognac sauce. DEVINE!

Friends and I had a great evening of catching up and laughing over some good food. Figaro was a great venue for a few friends to meet and reminisce. The food, especially dessert was delightful.

We had a dinner with a few members of the Department and Execs last night and the evening at Figaro was wonderful! The staff were very patient with us while we organised ourselves and the quality of the food was only matched by the awesome service. It was great to be able to enjoy this dinner late into the night and appreciate that the manager kept the place open just for us.

I've been to Figaro many times and am always made welcome and leave so satisfied. The food is gorgeous and is true to form for much of what I experienced in Italy. The best combo is a tomato Bruschetta, Sicilian Fillet Steak with a nice red to match, ending with their Tiramisu - couldn't be better.

Figaro is what you want in an Italian restaurant. It has great food - most importantly. It has great menu and wine list choices - very important. It has a knowledgeable and friendly manager to keep your evening enjoyable. I try to return every couple of weeks and love it each time.

I've eaten in heaps of places through the ACT and most are fine, but Figaro should get a special mention for being a star. The food is excellent and I like the cool atmosphere. My dinner was of mussels followed by a sautéed chicken dish. Both were exceptional. I shared a tiramisu and thought it to be one of the best I've tasted anywhere. You should try it too.

My family had a dinner here and it was all so great. We asked for a really nice wine from the Barossa and it was delicious with the steaks and the pizzas our table ordered. Desserts were excellent too.

I had to find a place for some colleagues to meet at - more social than business. My first thought was for Figaro and I was right. The lady who served us was incredible and knew everything about the menu and wine list, helping us to pick items that were just right together. Awesome food and and a nice spot in Kingston.

Figaro restaurant in Kingston opened its door over ten years ago and despite it being a steady contender in the best Kingston area, it is undergoing a resurgence amongst diners from all over Canberra making it one of the busiest places around and therefore one of the hardest places to get into. Booking early - at least 48 hours in advance - is about the only way to ensure that you're not disappointed.
I've been aware of Figaro for only the last couple of years and have enjoyed the consistently high standard of cuisine that the chef provides. The big change has been in that I can no longer assume to get a table in my favourite corner. Since coming here, I've enjoyed the pasta, cooked properly and with delicious sauces, though I've also learnt that if the chef offers something not usually on the menu, take the chance to order it, as some of his rare morsels are life-changing and mind-blowingly good.
If you can, go with a large appetite, as there are lots of temptations, not least of which is their tiramisu, which can't be passed by. To say that it is only delicious is selling it short of the sweet delight that is so true to form for this Sienese classic dessert.
Figaro is a gorgeous reminder of why Italian fare is so beloved and why we seek it out so frequently.

My boyfriend and I love food and getting out and about in ACT. We had heard a lot of good reviews about Figaro and though we would give it a go! The night couldn't have been better. We walked straight in, got seated and were treated so well though out the night. I asked for a suggestion on an Italian imported wine. The waitress suggested 'Tenuta sant' Antonio' 2008 and it was very nice. After taking a while to decide as the menu across the board sounded great we settled on the pesto spaghetti and the muscles! Both delicious YUMMMM! The guy and girl who served us were cool, laid back yet very efficient and on the ball. The biggest highlight was the chocolate gelato desert... Words can not express how great it was. Do yourself a favour and save room for that piece of desert heaven! I loved it so much we are going back this month for my birthday dinner. Cant wait to have my family and friends in such a fabulous environment sharing delicious food and wine together.

Figaro restaurant in Kingston is fast becoming the best place for locals to get great food & service, though there is an increasing need for bookings to be secured early. Figaro is an awesome Italian themed place that really embraces what it is that makes Italian cuisine such an all-time favourite. Figaro has a knack for serving meat based meals that just hum with satisfaction and taste just as you hoped it would when you ordered. The desserts shouldn't be passed up either, as the tiramisu is made in-house and is luscious and decadent with rich coffee and fresh cream.

Had a brilliant time here. Our whole group was keen to come and we ended up with a combo of their different meals and had a bit of each. It was all lovely. The sauce for the mushroom steak is amazing!

I love this restaurant - I hope it get the recognition of being awarded a Hat! Everyone should know that this business is one of the greats.

Some of the best Italian food I've had in years. Definately the best in Canberra.

Without fail, we always enjoy the offerings from here. Figaro is my favourite place for succlulent veal with a good marmony of flavours.
The desserts a worth saving your apetite for too.

ERGNY

One of the only rave-worthy places in Kingston. The other places have generally slid down to just pumping out cheap food, but Figaro is note worthy for the high standard of food that seems to only be getting better.
I enjoyed the steak with mushrooms when I was last there and it was so tender that I was tempted to order another to take home for lunch the following day!
A word of advice - book early, as weekend evenings can fill up quickly.

Figaro boasts a fabulously extensive menu that was dotted with highlights for my particular taste. The most tempting was the margherita pizza followed by a dish of veal in lemon sauce. Both were beyond my expectations.
My partner also seemed delighted in their choice, having opted for a caprese salad and the salmon.
This was a marvellous night of great food and we appreciated the staff being attentive towards making us feel welcome.

What a spectacular place. Sure the furnishings could be updated a bit, but I didn't go there to eat the chairs. It was the food that brought me back and the reason that I was so keen to take clients there.
The food was superb! With some wine and a secured account, it was a perfect night of business and indulgent cuisine. Good service too.
I'll be back with friends next time.

Floriade brought the family to Canberra. As nice a weekend as it was, one of the real standouts was our dinner at figaro in Kingston. The food was spectacular and my teenage kids found a few choices that they wouldn't normally get - but they smelt so good. They wanted to go back for lunch the next day - but unfortunately it wasn't an option for us. My wife had veal, which she raved about and let me try a bite. Delicious! But my salmon was at least as good. We will definately be making our way back to this restaurant!!

NeroUgo

Always a treat to come here. If I had my way, I'd keep a table reserved for me especially. I normally get one of the veal dishes - they are all good - actually, they are all great! I'll see you there if I'm lucky.

I was able to take a friend of mine to Figaro. We hadn't caught up with each other in a while and we had a great time, made all the better with some beautiful food.
The waitress was really nice and showed us to a lovely table. Before we knew it we had our meals presented to us. We started with a pizza, which was far better than any I've had in ages. Such a nice simplicity of ingredients, but still packed with flavour.
To top the whole meal off, we had some of their home made desserts, made by the chef's wife, and they were stunningly sumptuous.

TincBig

Figaro is just a few blocks from my home and I love having such a great place so close. I tend to come here about monthly and always enjoy a night full of good food and great company. The manager is a wonder who has made my times here a pleasure.
Try any of the veal dishes if you go here – they are fantastic.
Also try to fit in dessert, as the tira misu is great!

I was asked to arrange a function for clients, and I wanted Figaro, as I knew how great a dinning-out experience they offer. I was right & our clients seemed impressed and it proved to be a very successful evening, all things considered.
The service was attentive and allowed our talks to progress unhindered.
The food was delightful too.

I was in two nights ago to celebrate a recent success of a colleague and it was a perfect setting for our group to meet at. We had a bit of business to discuss and we know that the staff here are profesional and discreet. We were able to do both our business talks and share a meal & a few drinks in comfort & privacy.
The food was at its usual best, with the freshnes being obvious upon each plate. It really is beautifully made.
It was a very good night and we all enoyed ourselves greatly.

This is simply, and easily, the best restaurant in the ACT when looking for Italian food.
The starters are tempting, the main courses are fantastic & the desserts are supremely good.
I had lamb shanks that completely rocked my world. So much flavour in such a simple dish. I'll be going back for another dinner as soon as I can.

GMonk

This place has been great for years. I can't get enough of the pastas which are simple and sing of true flavour.

I think that their coffees are awesome too - they serve them with the milk as silky as I've ever seen it. Perfect with the fresh profiteroles all covered in chocolate genache. YUM!

I hope they keep their gelatis on the menu. I have a massive sweet tooth which I'm glad to let Fiagro cater to. The gelatis taste great and have brilliant & unusual flavours.

MH48

I'm amazed at what you get for your money here. It is obvious that there is a lot of effort put into every dish, and the service which is so personal takes time and is again not cheap - yet the prices are so reasonable.
I come here when business brings me to town and have never been let down by the quality of the food or service. I can be assured that business colleagues I bring will be impressed and that is a comfort to me also.

Mary68

This has everything that I could ask for in a restaurant.
I feel like I'm at my second home once I walk in, they remember my favourite dishes and make sure that my night is good. The food is prepared so well and reminds of my old holiday in the Italian countryside. When they have new things on the menu, I'm always tempted by them and am never let down. I love the squid ink risotto. So much is great here - you must try it for yourself.

Mich8460

I had dinner last Monday night for my anniversary. Well I have to say, as someone who eats out a lot, the meals were spot on. Fantastic portion size, we had three beautiful courses and I felt so content. Their wine list was well written and had something for any mood.

I've learnt how to enjoy good food and I felt to be at my second home with fabulous food and a cosy, stylish atmosphere.

Well done Figaro and congratulations on maintaining high standards while the economy has pushed so many others to cut corners.
