Punching above it's weight
We recently visited our local, Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club for dinner in Victoria Point, Qld. A Bayside community in the Redlands, a community friendly club. What a delightful surprise! Absolutely love that the staff do year round fundraising for the Leukaemia Foundation.
The Club has had recent renovations with very pleasing aesthetics and decor. The atmosphere is great with softly playing live music in the background on occasions.
We dined at the Zest bistro in a very private nook for two and tried the new A-la-Carte menu. Oh my goodness, we will definitely be back.
We devoured the amazing entrees which included:-
Spinach and Fetta Arancini with Aioli and Grana Padano.
Stuffed Tempura Zucchini Flowers filled with Goats Cheese and Lemon Zest with sublime Romanesco sauce. This dish was next level. The blossoms were perfection. Fresh, fluffy and crispy with fresh herb garnish.
House made Moreton Bay Bug Toast with Sweet and Sour Sauce - we will come back just for this entree itself, it was so delicious.
Main - we both enjoyed a dish of Sticky Glazed Pork Belly with Coconut Rice, fine Asian Vegetables and crispy noodles. Tantalisingly melt in your mouth dish!!
Side - Truffle and parmesan fries. Well, yum!
All dishes were extremely well priced and very decent portions.
I happened to look across at the next table and caught a glimpsed the sight of a young man devouring what looked like a huge triple decker or something decker Wagu burger of your dreams. Lets just leave it there, we will be racing back for that one.
Tasty, fresh and whoever is running that kitchen is giving it one good crack.

Have to say you guys have a great staff member here .ANDREA you are an asset to the sharks ?? you are always so plesent and so helpful, love coming down for a night out and seeing your welcoming smile.
Great meal on Monday night - Prawn and Scallop stir fry with just the right amount of satay. will definitely have again.
Venue was noisy due to a group of 12 seated/eating in dining area. Not much can be done about that! However our meal was very good and service excellent on Monday night.
