Wonderful Sunday lunch My partner and I often go to Albert River Wines for a romantic lunch. Last Sunday was my mum's birthday so we booked the whole family in for lunch. The live music was great and the food was even better. We can never fault the service and the wines are the cherry on the cake for us.

The winery, the buildings and the scenery were brilliant, the food was not.
We shared a bruschetta for openers, quite tasty with a delicious balsamic reduction.
My mains of Lemon Snapper Fillet was more in tune with Sole (of my shoe). The fillet, as such was very dry and tastless, which matched the spoonfull of plain rice and a cup of boiled frozen vegetables.
My partner's choice of Duck Confit turned out to be my other shoe, with a similar quality of vegetables.
I can't comment on the dessert options, as by that time we had decided it wasn't worth the risk - we probably won't go there again
